Stoneham is staging several events for the beginning of the Revolution, including “Revolution on our Doorstep” talk at the Stoneham Historical Society & Museum. 2025 marks not only Stoneham’s 300th anniversary as a town but also the 250th anniversary of the start of the American Revolution. SHSM and the Stoneham Historical Commission are putting on several events for 250th Anniversary, staring with a special talk on the Revolution and chance to get up close with some of the our Revolutionary War artifacts here at the Museum on April 10th, with our own VP and local historian Dolly Wilson.
On April 27, the Stoneham Historical Commission will be leading a special tour of some of the graves of our local Minutemen and other local characters from the Revolutionary War era at the Old Burying Ground on Pleasant St.
And on May 3rd, the Stoneham Historical Commission will be hosting an event on the Town Common from 11 – 2 pm featuring historic games, historical demonstrations such as candle-making, and a chance to learn some Minuteman drill skills and drumbeats.

You can see a number of special events from other towns on the Revolutionary War at Revolution250.
