Did you know that Maple Street once hosted a golf ball factory? The Boston Golf Ball Factory, contrary to its name, was in Stoneham until it closed in the late 1950s.
We’re more than just a shoe town. Stoneham has produced everything from pencil sharpeners, cardboard boxes and flavored cod liver oil to rubber buckets and patterned pressed concrete blocks.
