Celebrating our Centennial

Special Centennial Logo for the Stoneham Historical Society Come join us as we celebrate 100 years of keeping history alive and well in Stoneham.
For our Centennial, we created a special medallion, pictured below, of our Museum. Built in 1911 as a small factory, it later became the home of the Spanish War Veterans. It was deeded to us in 1958 and now serves as a meeting hall, museum, and historical archives.

Over the course of 2022, we hope you join us as we offer an array of programs celebrating our past 100 years. For further information, please read your Cordwainer, follow us on Facebook, check our website, look for our notices around town and read about us in the Stoneham Independent.

In honor of our first meeting, held February 24, 1922, join us for a special on our centennial on StonehamTV. It includes a look at our special Olympics exhibit as well as a discussion of our founding and a look at some of our first artifacts.

Our special will be broadcast live on StonehamTV.org (on cable or live streaming at 7pm, February 24th, 2022, and then will be available to view on demand.

We are grateful for funding and support in reopening to the public after the pandemic from a SHARP grant for operating and programming from Mass Humanities.
