Stoneham Historical Society & Museum has received a grant from the Stoneham Cultural Council and Massachusetts Cultural Council to fund our series of Centennial Exhibits.
The Museum, which is celebrating its 100th year in 2022, will be staging a series of 10 exhibits – one each for each decade of the Historical Society, starting with the 1920s & 30s in March 2022. The funding from the SCC will allow SHSM to better showcase each decade.
The Museum is open free to the public on the 3rd Sunday of each month, from 2-4 pm.
The Mass Cultural Council receives funding from the Massachusetts Legislature and the National Endowment for the Arts. The mission of the Mass Cultural Council is to promote excellence, education, diversity, and inclusion in the arts, humanities, and sciences to foster a rich cultural life for all Massachusetts residents and contribute to the vitality of our communities and economy.
Each year, the local Stoneham Cultural Council awards financial assistance to local projects from the pool of funds collected by the state of Massachusetts and allocated to Stoneham.
